Misuse of 'Literally' Makes Me Figuratively Insane T-Shirt - Men's
For the Grammatically Pedantic
If you've ever cringed when someone says 'I literally died laughing' (no, you didn't, you're still here), or 'My head literally exploded' (that would be messy), then this t-shirt was designed specifically for you. Featuring the brilliantly witty message 'Misuse of LITERALLY makes me FIGURATIVELY INSANE', this tee is a badge of honour for grammar pedants, word nerds, English teachers, editors, writers, and anyone who understands the actual meaning of 'literally'. It's funny, it's clever, and it makes a point - literally!

Perfect For
This t-shirt is ideal for English teachers, editors, proofreaders, writers, journalists, copywriters, librarians, and anyone who values proper word usage. Whether you're an English literature graduate who can't help but notice grammatical errors, a teacher who's spent years explaining the difference between 'literally' and 'figuratively', or simply someone who appreciates the correct use of language, this tee is for you. Perfect for wearing to school, university, book clubs, writing groups, or anywhere you might encounter people who misuse 'literally' (so, basically everywhere).
The Perfect Gift for Word Nerds
Know someone who's constantly correcting people's grammar? Someone who visibly twitches when 'literally' is misused? This t-shirt makes a brilliant gift for birthdays, Christmas, Teacher Appreciation Day, or as a graduation present for English majors. It's perfect for English teachers, editors, writers, journalists, or anyone who's ever been called a 'grammar Nazi' (though we prefer 'grammar enthusiast'). Also makes a great gift for book lovers, crossword enthusiasts, and Scrabble champions.
The Literally vs Figuratively Debate
Here's the thing: 'literally' means 'in a literal manner or sense; exactly'. It's used to emphasise that something is actually true and not exaggerated. 'Figuratively' means 'in a way that uses figures of speech; metaphorically'. When someone says 'I literally died laughing', they mean figuratively - they laughed a lot, but they're still alive. The misuse of 'literally' has become so widespread that dictionaries have actually added an informal definition meaning 'used for emphasis rather than being actually true', which makes grammar pedants literally (correctly!) want to scream. This t-shirt celebrates those of us who still care about using words properly.

Frequently asked questions (that we know you're thinking)
"How long with it take to arrive?"
Ah, the age-old question. Our products aren’t mass-produced by robots in a warehouse the size of Wales. Nope — they’re lovingly crafted by real humans (with real caffeine addictions) in our Forest of Dean studio. That means:
Usually 3–5 working days to make your masterpiece. If it’s personalised, bespoke, or just plain fancy, it might take a smidge longer — but we’ll keep you posted.
Once it’s made, it’s handed over to the postal pixies. UK delivery typically takes 2–3 days. International delivery will take a bit longer (because oceans exist).
Drop us a message before ordering. We can sometimes work magic — but we’re fresh out of time machines.
While our website currently only supports UK shipping, we do welcome international orders! 🌎✨
Due to the complexities of overseas shipping and sales tax, we’re handling international orders manually for now. If you're outside the UK and would like to place an order, simply Contact Us and we’ll be happy to assist you directly.
We’re working hard behind the scenes to bring international shipping online in the New Year — so stay tuned!
Thanks for your patience and support 💛
Don’t worry — we’re not offended. (Much.)
If you’ve scrolled, clicked, zoomed, and squinted and still haven’t found the perfect product, it might be time to go rogue...
👉 Head over to our Custom Builds page and tell us what you really want. We love a challenge, and we’ve got the tools, the talent, and just enough caffeine to make it happen.
Whether it’s weird, wonderful, or wildly specific — we’re here for it.
